State of the game

My thoughts on the game

Sorry for no updates or bug fixes for a few months, but there's a reason for that. I tried coming back to developing it, but I am not happy with the gameplay itself. It's very clunky and rather slow paced, with no tactics or planning required whatsoever. My main problem is with the movement and the lack of flow, like in Super Smash. So instead of adding new characters to a game I'm not happy with, I'd much rather rework the core of the game - the fighting itself. Make it more dynamic, rework punching and Stand attacks & more. A combination of Super Smash & Jump Force. It would take me a lot of time to do though, as I would have to rewrite 90% of the code.

If that is something you'd like to see happen or you have some other thoughts let me know.

It's been 2 years sience this post, I'm wondering if you're still working on the game because I would really love new updates. Also when its a mirror match make a way to  differentiate between the players, Great game still!

I would like to tell you that the game runs fine. Combat, as you said, is kinda cluncky and hitboxes feel weird but apart from that, you have done a great job with the move and the fighting system as an idea. Most people say lack of content, but having tried game dev and I know that this being a new game made by one person is understandable. Jotaro's model could use some more love but with time everything will be in place. I loved it so far, don't lose motivation, know that this is a good game

(Pls add the part 7 main cast I beg you ill do anything, ill learn c# to help pls add them! XD)

yo. I played your game and its cool. not gonna repeat what everyone else is saying, but keep making this game. hyped to see more

hey, I just came across your game while looking for fighting games and I think it's a really great concept! I do agree however that the core gameplay does need some reworking. The hitboxes seem to come out too early and moves have way too much starting lag. My advice is to play other fighting games you enjoy and analyze what they do right and try to incorporate that into your own game. Maybe you could try incorporating mechanics from the official JoJo fighting games, such as Heritage for the Future. I wish you luck in improving your game and I am looking forward to seeing the next update!

Thanks for your response & advice. Never played other jojo games tbh. I am also looking into other engines besides Unity.

You should try out Godot! It's the game engine I'm currently using and I find it really intuitive and fun to use.
